Dr. Debbie Armstrong was born in Tuskegee, Alabama, and is the third of six children born to John and Thelma Harris. Her family later relocated to Louisville, Kentucky where she was reared in church, however, it wasn’t until later in life that she built a true relationship with Christ. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia, God used many trials and tribulations to shape and mode her life.
On March 15, 1992 God healed, delivered, and restored her. It was then that she promised God that wherever He sends her, she will tell the world that He can and He will save, heal and deliver!
In March of 1995, God appointed and anointed Dr. Armstrong to preach the gospel to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recover the sight for the blind under the leadership of Apostle Thomas and Evangelist Carolyn Vincent, founders of High-Point Christian Tabernacle in Smyrna, Georgia.
In May of 1998, Dr. Armstrong was licensed as a minister at Salem Bible Church in Atlanta, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Jasper Williams, Jr. She also was appointed and served as the Ministry Administrator. During that time, she also served as Ministry Administrator for Women of God Changing Lives through Christ (W.O.G.C.L) along-side Prophetess Perri (Pebbles) Reid, Founder.
On January 7, 2001, she and her husband, Pastor Anthony Armstrong, were ordained as Pastor sunder the leadership of Bishop Harold Dawson, founder of New Hope International Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia. They birthed Divine Deliverance Christian Church in College Park, Georgia. She served as a faithful Co-Pastor with great love and dedication to God’s sheep!
After co-laboring and assisting other ministries, God commanded and commissioned Dr. Armstrong to bear His oil to the nation, and she said yes. In October of 2007,she became the founder and overseer of Bearing Oil Ministries and began crusading for Christ throughout the United States and internationally.
After the death of Dr. Debbie’s husband and pastor in August of 2012, she accepted God's charge to continue to lead His people and finish her assignment. In October of 2012, Dr. Armstrong was ordained as an Apostle, under the leadership of Apostle Nathanial Jackson pastor and founder of Faith Deliverance Christian Church in Morrow, Georgia.
On January 7,2013, Dr. Armstrong was elevated and installed by Pastor Jasper Williams Jr. as the Senior Pastor of The NEW Divine Deliverance Life Center in College Park, Georgia.
God saw fit to elevate Dr. Armstrong again and in October 2015 she birthed “Bearing Oil Ministries Fellowship International” (BOMFI) with a charge to raise up spiritual sons and daughters who will be instruments for revival in this generation.
She currently serves as the overseer of House of Faith Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky; World Changing- Word of Faith Deliverance Ministry in St. Louis, Missouri; Rivers of Living Waters Ministries, in Barberton, Ohio; Missions of Love Outreach Ministries in Las Vegas, NV; and The Dwelling Place Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Armstrong is author of three books, God Bless Liberia, God’s Triple ‘A’ Plan, and Being Made Whole. She is also the author of three workbooks, Eagles on the Rise, Seven Elements of a Spiritual Transformation, and Just Do It.
Dr. Armstrong attended Beulah Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia, Dominion School of Prophets in Milledgeville, Georgia, and in December of 2015 she received her Doctor of Divinity Degree at CBI Seminary in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Armstrong affectionately known and “Dr. Deb” is a gifted servant with an unwavering commitment to God. The trademark of her ministry is her compelling love through Christ to minister deliverance and wholeness to hurting people.
The theme of her life is found in Jeremiah 1:7-10 (KJV):
“Behold the Lord said unto me, say not I am a child; for thou shall go to all that I shall send thee, and whosoever I command thee thou shall speak; Be not afraid of their faces for I am with thee to deliver thee, said the Lord. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant”.
